Photos of Estonia

I’ll share some photos of my visit to Estonia at times when it wasn’t raining. In the beginning of my trip the weather was beautiful, but shortly turned into a massive storm and it rained heavily. Me and my boyfriend, who visited Estonia for the first time, were visiting the Toome hill when suddenly heavy storm broke down. We were trying to hide under a tree and then made a run to a nearby hotel to get some cover. Flood was everywhere and we were completely wet. It was crazy: many cars lost their licence plates while driving through the flood, a tennis court that was located down a hill got damaged by the dirt pouring down on it, two boats on a lake needed rescue and one of the boats completely drowned after the people got out, even the shopping malls had many problems like water all over the floors and one parking lot was closed down due to excessive water. I haven’t witnessed any storm like this before.  Luckily, there were also some beautiful moments and some sun too. I’ll add some pictures first and then I will tell you all about my […]

Home is a shelter from storms-all sorts of storms.

Traditionally, I went home for Christmas. Just for five days, which was too short and I am sad that it was so short but better than nothing. Home visits have certain mandatory routines, especially during Christmas. You see the family and friends. You eat. Then eat again and then eat few more times during the same day and then again the next day. Eat, sleep, repeat. Too bad there was no snow. During this whole winter, I did not even see snow. Maybe it will still come? I also tested my new camera lens for the first time and in the dark again, which is way harder. I realised that photography is not easy at all, especially if you want to make great photos. I also need to learn photoshop. Sometimes I wish I would have started all the hobbies in the world when I was three years old and now I would be extremely skilful. Anyhow, here are some more pictures.                   “Dear Santa, I am Karine Khachatryam. Please give me a walkie-talkie for Christmas. Thank you.” I never know how to end my blog posts. […]

Home sweet home.

“Always remember to fall asleep with a dream and wake up with a purpose.” Where was the summer? Maybe people in the South haven’t asked that question, but the Netherlands skipped summer and went straight to autumn. Together with my boyfriend I went to the beach once and it started to feel cold so we left. I had my first and only swim in the summer in a pond in a park. Thanks to owning a balcony, I have managed to get my arms somewhat tanned, because if i am home and the sun is up i will use it as much as possible. The sun might never come back so better get hundred percent of it. Also, i went shopping to get some new summer clothes. I still haven’t been able to wear them. I am a bit sad that there has been no real summer here, but on the other hand, i have been trying to enjoy it as much as possible. And i have been working a lot so i can save up money for my unknown future. Everybody keeps bugging me what will i do after i graduate. I know it […]
